A qualifying competition in the “Cloud Computing” skill

The NSALAB team of experts summed up the results of the qualifying competition for the expanded team of the “Cloud Computing” skill for the WorldSkills Shanghai 2021.

The selection was carried out in absentia in several stages. The participants passed theoretical testing and completed a practical task of deploying a web application in a fault-tolerant scalable infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services platform. Following the results of the tests' successful completion, the competitor were interviewed by a team of NSALAB experts in this skill.

The infrastructure was tested automatically for scalability and fault tolerance using the laboratory's own developments.

According to the results of the entrance tests, the 10 best out of 32 participants were invited to join the national team, including the representatives from St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Omsk and Kazan.

A candidate from the expanded national team, who shows steady professional development and the best results over the entire training period, will have an opportunity to represent Russia at the next WorldSkills International in Shanghai in September 2021.

All the participants of the expanded national team will have the opportunity of systematizing their knowledge in this field, as well as gaining access to various resources for theoretical and practical training.
