During the competition task, the participants were to show their skills in the development and implementation of cloud infrastructure architecture for web applications, using the best industry practices. AWS engineers paid special attention to the fault tolerance, security and scalability of the solutions offered by the participants.
NSALAB student Diana Kasabova became a participant of this demo competition and was a key person at the WorldSkills Flag Relay ceremony. For two years, the flag has been passing from the previous hosting city (Abu Dhabi) to the next (Kazan), visiting all the competition sites since the movement's beginning.

Aleksandr Gorbachev, the head of NSALAB, and Mikhail Grigoriev, an expert from Russia on cloud computing, also participated in the Irish event. When discussing the competition format for this skill, they, experienced WorldSkills experts, gave positive feedback to the AWS engineers and agreed on further cooperation, so that this skill would be adequately represented at the next world competition.
