WorldSkills Education
The second WorldSkills competition in DigitalSkills was held with the NSALAB support in Kazan.

This competition is held among employees of small, medium and large businesses in the industry, students of secondary and higher education, as well as individuals in order to solve the following issues of staffing the digital economy:
  • development and testing of skill profiles;
  • adjustments and development of appropriate educational programs in existing and new areas;
  • development of an independent assessment model for the education system and labor market.

The laboratory has contributed to the technical equipment of the competition sites in the skills “Machine Learning and Big Data” and “Analysis of Information Systems Security against External Threats”. NSALAB specialists also developed a secret module of the test project for the latter skill, which was done remotely using the laboratory's infrastructure.

“Colleagues from Singapore's Ngee Ann Polytechnic appreciated our work, which, of course, we were glad to hear”, says Aleksandr Gorbachev, the head of the laboratory. “In addition, we have outlined the horizons of academic cooperation, including the preparation for the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 International Competition in the Cyber Security skill”.
